Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheeks Swatches

The Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheeks are some of the cutest blushes I've seen, packaging-wise. You gotta hand it to them for the little tins in pastel colours, with their yummy-sounding names!

Over here we have just two of the shades, so without further adieu, here are swatches:

majolica majorca puff de cheeks

L: PK 301 Peach Macaron - a pale baby pink
R: OR 302 Apricot Macaron - a pale peachy pink that's abit more peach than pink

Both hae no shimmer, and nice texture and pigmentation. The paleness of the shades mean that they might look a little chalky on deeper complexions. I feel like the colours are kinda run of the mill but quite nice otherwise.

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil Eyeliner Swatches

Majolica Majorca is the offshoot of Shiseido, the Japanese brand famous for skincare, as well as makeup. Majolica Majorca is very popular among Asian girls, with its "Shiseido-for-a-cheaper-price" appeal. That said, I have to admit, Majolica Majorca is one of the better Asian drugstore brands I've seen to date, with their quality of products.

Majolica Majorca has a line of pencil eyeliners, called the Jeweling Pencil Eyeliners. Why they're called Jeweling is a mystery to me, but I guess it's a reference to the sparkles in the pencil eyeliners, since it's definitely not the colours.

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Pencil Eyeliners

L - R: BK999, BK901, BL503, PK204, BR606, Marble 71, Green Jewel GR522, Amber Flakes BR633

BK999 is a soft matte black.
BK901 is a black with sparse silver glitter.
BL503 is a deep colbalt blue with sparse silver glitter.
PK204 is a frosty pale pink. Pink eye anyone? LOL. This would probably be good on the waterline.
BR606 is a warm yellow brown with sparse gold shimmer.
Marble 71 is a frosty gold that isn't that greatly pigmented.
Green Jewel GR522 is a light grass green with gold shimmer. The shimer in GR522 is a bit denser than in the other colours.
Amber Flakes BR633 is a deep brown, less warm than BR606, with gold shimmer. I'm not sure if I'd call it amber flakes, but it's pretty. Again, the glitter in this is denser than the other shades.

I don't know why some of the shades have shade names and some don't, but I guess the ones with the names were part of a later release. These went on with a nice glide, and were decent in pigmentation, althought they didn't stay that long.

Majolica Majorca Neo Automatic Eyeliner Swatches

Majolica Majorca is a drugstore brand of cosmetics hailing from Japan, and is actually marketed as a subsidiary of Shiseido, a more upmarket Japanese brand of cosmetics and skincare. As a result, Majolica Majorca has gotten a lot of fans (you know, the whole "upmarket cosmetics for drugstore price" thing). That's not to say it isn't good, though. I think it has one of the better lineup of products among Asian brands.

Today's swatches are simple and short, featuring the Neo Automatic Eyeliner. These are liquid eyeliner in the form of a click-pen dispenser. Yes, a click-pen dispenser just like those Stila Lipglazes. That is rather unfortunate, in my opinion, because the liquid eyeliner tends to collect and harden up in the brush dispenser, and basically render the brush rather gunked up and useless.

Unfortunately I was only able to swatche two of the entire range. The rest of the testers were all gooped up, and it was impossible to get any product out of them at all.

L-R: GR555, GD833

GR555 is a gorgeous olive green with a metallic finish. I love olive greens, so this one is right up my alley.

GD833 is another lovely colour - this time it's a metallic gold. Not an ugly, brassy, orange gold though - this one is more of an antique gold that is very wearable.

Packaging flaws aside, the Neo Automatic Eyeliners are actually of good quality. The pigmentation is superb, and the staying power is also really good. I had to remove these swatches with makeup remover! So it's really just a matter of whether you'd like to put up with the fussy packaging. I actually really like the colours and the staying power, I'd be a lot more tempted if the packaging was more practical.

Majolica Majorca Single Eyeshadow Swatches!

Today, I bring you swatches of all the Majolica Majorca single eyeshadows that are avaliable in Singapore. Majolica Majora is a subsidiary brand of Shiseido, and is of Japanese origins. Mmmm. Yummy. That's like Shiseido for the drugstore! Anyway, they're available in most Asian drugstores in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, and of course, Japan.

Anyway, I think Singapore must be getting the short end of the stick or something, there are only 8 shades (I'm pretty sure there are more than that), and we don't have SV821, the cult favourite. However, SV821 is in my personal stash, and I'm totally planning to do a swatch and review on that, so swatches, pictures and reviews of SV821 are coming soon!

Anyway, on to the rest of the collection. As is typical of Asian brand eyeshadows, the texture is very soft, even softer than Shu Uemura. That's a good thing - swatching these, they felt gorgeous on my fingers and skin. Ooh, soft and silky. However, as is also typical of Asian brand eyeshadow, the level of pigmentation is also highly variable. In general, the lighter colours are really sheer, and as you can see from my swatches, some of them were barely visible on my arm despite my attempts to build them up. The darker colours, however, are totally gorgeous, soft, silky, pigmented, and a dream to apply. So they're a little hit-or-miss, but I still quite like these. I'd love more colours, however - a couple more taupes never hurt anyone! :P

Another thing I noticed is that the lighter colours tend to have chunkier glitter

Anyway, without further ado, here are swatches:

Majolica Majorca Single Eyeshadow Swatches

L - R: WT963, BR665, VI113, GR162, GD822, BE121, BR784, BE286

WT963 is a sheer, sparkly white with chunky glitter.

BR665 is a beautiful metallic neutral brown with golden shimmer. It's a beautiful shade, and one of my favourites.

VI113 is a very very sheer light purply lilac colour that is very glittery and did I say very sheer? I couldn't build this one up very much although I tried.

GR162 is a bright yellow green of average pigmentation and average sparkliness.

GD822 is a golden bronzey brown.

BE121 is a sheer sparkly beige, and as the swatch shows, this just wouldn't build up on me.

BR784 is a deep neutral brown with a slightly metallic quality to it. Very pretty, and very good pigmentation. This is also one of my favourites.

BE286 is a peachy pink colour with gold shimmer. It also looks to be NARS Orgasm in eyeshadow form. This one also had good pigmentation, and not much chunky glitter.

Majolica Majorca Cheek Customized Blusher Swatches

Today's swatches are the Majolica Majorca line of blushes. Majolica Majorca is a brand of drugstore cosmetics hailing from Japan, under the Shiseido banner. That's really cool. It's like Shiseido for drugstore! Anyway, they're easily available at drugstores in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. They also have the cutest, girliest packaging for their products, and they've been getting raves so far.

The blushes, I'm afraid, aren't one of their standouts, although they're decent enough. The colours are a little bit odd, but they're all sheer, so they would probably look better sheered out. I just built them up to give a sense of the colours.

The line of blushes come in cute slide-out packaging, and you can buy nicer packaging in compact form separately if you wish.

I liked the blushes, sort of, I guess. I don't know. I was excited to swatch these, but they're all sheer and powdery. I guess they're OK.

Here they all are:

Majolica Majorca Blush Swatches

L - R: OR211, OR322, PK333, RD255 and 88

OR211 is a peachy orange, OR322 is a corally colour, PK333 is probably the most popular colour in their line, a boring but universally flattering neutral light pink, while RD255 is sort of like NARS Exhibit - but a lot, a lot more sheer.

88 is interesting. It wasn't released with the normal line of blushes, and was sitting in its own display, probably as something from a new, possibly limited edition, collection. It's a sheer light pink with sparkles - think Benefit Thrrrob and you've probably got it pat. It's a good highlighter, even if a bit boring. The sparkles annoy me a little, since they're a little on the chunky side, though. Still, its pretty.
