L'Oreal Tint Caresse Orchid Blossom Review, Swatch, Ingredients Analysis

L'Oreal Tint Caresse was launched a few months ago, and basically, it's a pretty nifty powder lip tint. Yes, powder, with a sponge applicator! L'Oreal advertises this as the "1st lip gradation cushion tint for lips that blossom with delicate colour", and the idea is that the sponge and powder combination is supposed to make it easier for you to get that on-trend ombre lips look.

L'Oreal Tint Caresse Orchid Blossom: One of a range of Tint Caresse shades

The Tint Caresse seems to be developed out of Japan, or at least, the packaging and wrapping all has Japanese text. Sometimes L'Oreal does develop Asia-exclusive products, so perhaps this could be one of those - indeed, the idea of gradient lips is pretty much a Kbeauty/J-beauty sort of concept. I'm always pretty happy with such products though, as it often results in some pretty innovative and unique products. The shade I'm reviewing today is Orchid Blossom, which is one of several shades.

This is the first time I've seen a powder lip product before, so I have to admit, I had all sorts of curious questions about it. How did L'Oreal formulate a powder lip product? What does it feel like on lips? What does it look like? Well, let's find out, by starting at the ingredients list!

Makeup Empties: Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Lipstick, Liptint, Powder

In addition to the skincare empties that I blogged about, I've also actually emptied some makeup! I'm particularly happy about my makeup empties, because it typically takes me longer to use up a makeup item than a skincare item. Anyway,

Makeup empties accumulated over the past few months!

This time round I've got some staples - like my Coastal Scents loose powders - as well as some new appearances! Most of these are products I love and would totally use again, and as we go through each of these items, I'll explain why.

Skinia Some Lip Tattoo Swatches, First Impressions and Ingredients Analysis

Skinia is a Korean brand of makeup that is sold by HKCPlaza, a Korean retailer, which also carries some of the LHJ (Lee Ji Ham) skincare products, some of which I've reviewed before. To say Skinia is a brand of makeup is a bit of an overstatement though - as far as I can tell, they have some lip tattoos, and that's it! When I posted about the Skinia Some Lip Tattoos on Instagram sometime back, I had some questions about the product, so I figured I should post my swatches of the product!

Skinia Some Lip Tattoo: Peel off lip tattoos or lip packs are popular in Asia now

For those who are not sure what a "lip tattoo" is, it is not actually permanent makeup. It is basically a lipstain that comes in a thick gel that dries down to a film. You basically apply the gel onto your lips, wait for it to dry down (5 - 10 minutes mostly), and peel it off, to reveal the stain on your lips. The stain is less intense than the original colour, but if you leave the stain on longer, then you'll get a stronger colour on your lips. Other Kbeauty brands also have such products, under varying names - some call them lip tattoos, some call them lip packs, and so on. Just think of them as peel-off lip stains! These types of peel-off lip tattoos are getting really popular here lately, and I guess it's just a matter of time consumers in the West will catch on too.

For those who need a visualization, the photo above shows how it works. You can see the colour that has seeped into my skin being left behind, while the rest of the dried product is being peeled off. And now for swatches!

The Face Shop Ink Lipquid Review and Swatches

The Face Shop Ink Lipquid (with the really cute portmanteau in the product name) is the Kbeauty brand's latest lip product, and it is marketed as a cross between a lipstick, lipgloss, and lip stain/liptint. The selling of the Ink Lipquid, according to the Face Shop, is the combination of moisture and staying power. I don't have the website, but reading off my phamplet, the Ink Lipquid promises "moist lips with 70% water base", and a "vivid color lasts on lips for 12 hours" (gotta love that slight Engrish over there, but you get the idea).

There are 12 shades in the range, and like most Korean brnds, the colours range from brights to pastels, and cover a fairly good array of colours. I have 3 of the shades today, PK03 Shah Pink, OR02 Orange Some, and RD02, Red Sing.

Alright, let's get on with the swatches and reviews! I've got both arm and lip swatches, as well as an (accidental) staining test!

Etude House Color Lips Fit PP501 Brave Fit Berry: My Perfect Fall Colour

Fall is the perfect time for deep berry lips, and I think I've found my perfect one - the Etude House Color Lips Fit in PP501 Brave Fit Berry! This is a new addition to the Etude House Color Lips Fit range of liptints, which I've reviewed previously. At Etude House's flagship store at Wisma Atria, I noticed this pretty shade and just had to have it, and so I bought it!

Etude House Color Lips Fit PP501 Brave Fit Berry: Couldn't resist the gorgeous berry colour!

Apparently PP501 Brave Fit Berry is a new addition to the Color Lips Fit line of lip tints - this shade was not available when the Color Lips Fit liptints first came to Singapore. When it was first launched in Singapore, the shades were mostly bright reds, bright pinks, or nude beiges. They didn't have any plum or magenta shades, so I was excited to see such a gorgeous shade. And on top of that, it had this little sign next to it that said "NEW", so I decided I would get it!

And since I've gotten it, I've been wearing it pretty often, since it's so perfect for Fall season. So I figured I should get around to reviewing it for you guys!
