Laneige's Two Tone Lip Bars have just hit Singapore after being launched in Korea a month ago. Th Two Tone Lip Bars are basically lipsticks with two shades inside, so when you apply the lipstick, you get the look of gradient lips (which are popular here thanks to Korean beauty trends). The tubes are also rectangular in shape (as you can see from the photo of the tubes below), which is supposed to be easier to use. When I first posted about these sometime back on Instagram, I had several comments saying that they looked forward tot he product, and I figured that since they're now in Singapore, I really should post my swatches!

This time, the swatches are taken in natural light, so hopefully these should be pretty true to life! The 10 shades cover a pretty good range of colours - everything from nudes to reds to brights to berries is in there. Due to the different colour pairings, the gradient effect is more obvious on some colours than others.

Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar Swatches - all 10 shades!

No. 1 Magenta Muse is a pairing of a cool-toned deep rose and a medium rose.
No. 2 Red Blossom is a pairing of a neutral red and a nude. The mix of red and nude means that this has a pretty obvious gradient effect.
No. 3 Pink Salmon pairs a warm coral and a warm pink. It looks pretty orange in my swatches due to the way the coral is skewing against my skintone, but it will look better on warm-toned girls.
No. 4 Milk Blurring - I'm not too sure what that name is supposed to mean? - is a pairing of a neutral red and a white shade. (I guess the white "milk" is "blurring" the red?) This pairing gives a very stark contrast, and it is probably the most contrasting pair of shades with a very obvious gradient effect.
No. 5 Daring Darling is a mix of cool-toned red and cool-toned bright pink.
No. 6 Pink Step is a mix of a cool-toned pink and a nude. This one also has a good gradient effect.
No. 7 Cashmere Nude is a light warm coral, and a nude shade. This is the only "nude" shade among the pairings.
No. 8 Neon Juice is a pretty eye-popping colour combination of bright pink and orange. This is probably the most funky colour combination among the pairings.
No. 9 Dolly Grape is a cool-toned purple berry and light pink, and one of my personal favourites - you guys know I love these berry shades!
No. 10 Burgundy Love is a deep burgundy and a coral pink, and is the only deep shade that is close to vampy. This one also has a fairly obvious pairing.

Lastly, I thought I'd share some first impressions and notes based on doing the swatches. The texture of the Laneige Two Tone Lip Bars is very soft, smooth and moisturizing, and pigmentation level is good (all the swatches you see above are just one swipe, although I did use some pressure). There is also no shimmer or glitter with the Two Tone Lip Bars - the finish in all the bars is pretty glossy and creamy. These seem to be pretty good, quality-wise.
