Etude House Pink Wish Tree Holiday 2014 Collection: Old Favourites, New Packaging!

Etude House's Christmas 2014 offerings are its Pink Wish Tree Collection, which is quite a comprehensive collection - it has everything from some of Etude House's bestselling makeup, skincare, handcare and lipcare. All of these are permanent items, but they have been specially dressed up for the holidays, so don't worry about falling in love with a limited edition product. This includes their Moistfull Collagen skincare line, their Precious Mineral Any Cushion, their Petit Bijou body care line, and their Hand bouquet and Kissful handcreams and lipbalms respectively.

The best thing about the Etude House Pink Wish Tree Collection is that, in addition to being totally presentable and gift-worthy, the collection also supports charity. Etude House will donate ₩100 (100 Won, or around SGD$0.10) for every Pink Wish Tree item purchased to the School Me Campaign by Save the Children, which will help to provide educationa opportunities for African girls in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d'Ivire and Uganda. An additional ₩100 will be donated if shoppers endorse the Pink Wish Card that comes along with the product. It may not seem like a lot of money per item, but the products themselves aren't expensive either (the sets are anywhere from SGD$8 to SGD$32), and Etude House does deal with pretty large volumes of sales, so the final amount donated will hopefully be an amount that can make a meaningful contribution to the campaign.

Anyway, let's take a quick look at the Pink Wish Tree items! This is just a quick run through, and I will get around to reviewing some of the individual sets in more detail hopefully!

Let's start with the hand cream sets! These are holiday-packaged versions of Etude House's Hand Bouquet Hand Cream, and feature their Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand Cream as well as their Hand Bouquet Rich Collagen Hand Cream, and you have various options - both mini and jumbo. Below, you can see the mini set, which has little 25ml tubes of both the Rich Collagen and the Rich Butter Hand Creams.

If you (or the person you're buying these for) happens to be a more hardcore user of handcreams, then the jumbo sizes of the hand creams may make more sense. The Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand Cream Jumbo and Hand Bouquet Rich Collagen Hand Cream Jumbo are each sold separately in massive 100ml sizes. So you can really slather your hands in hand cream!

I think one of the more popular items in the Pink Wish Tree Collection will be the Precious Mineral Any Cushion SPF50+/PA+++. The Precious Mineral Any Cushion are one of the more popular items in Etude House's lineup, so this is definitely going to be a hit among regular uses of the BB Cushion who want to get the cute packaging, in addition to holiday shoppers.

This comes in two shades No2, and W13 - which are the same shades as the Etude House Disney Princess Collection Snow White Precious Mineral BB Creams, except that these are in BB Cushion form. N02 is a light yellow-based beige shade, while W13 is a medium, more pink-toned beige. I will be swatching these separately, but for now, just look at how cute these are in the packaging!

Next, my favourite - lipbalms! I'm quite the lip products junkie (as you can tell from this Instagram post of mine), and this pretty much extends to lipbalms as well. One of the offerings is a lipbalm set, consisting of three of their Kissful Lip Care lipbalms in three flavours/scents - Strawberry, Cherry, and Peach.

The Kissful Lip Care lipbalms smell sweet and fruity, like their namesake fruits, but although they look coloured in the tube, when applied there is virtually no colour, even with repeated layering. They feel very nice on the lips - emollient but not waxy.

The last set we have is bodycare. This is the Petit bijou cotton Snow Body Set, which is a set of Petit Bijou Cotton Snow Soft Body Wash and Petit Bijou Cotton Snow Moisture Body Lotion. These are in pretty decent sizes (100ml each) and are pretty useful for travelling too.

The Petit Bijou products have a soft, baby powder-like scent, which is quite mild and pleasant. Nothing too sweet, strong, or cloying here! The Body Lotion also sinks in fast and doesn't feel thick or oily, which is always a plus.

The sets are pretty value-for-money, and are very presentable - they all come in little boxes, all ready for wrapping and gift-giving. The fact that some of the profits are going to be donated to charity is also a plus. These are cute, holiday-appropriate gifts that won't break the bank, so if you're shopping for a beauty-loving friend (or for yourself) this holidays, this is definitely something to check out.
