It's Winter, it's Christmas, it's giveaway season! If you're like me, and dry weather really hurts your skin, then this giveaway is for you! We're giving away a Dr Organic Manuka Honey Soothe & Restore Set, consisting of a cleansing glove, Manuka Honey Hand & Nail cream, Manuka Honey facial emollient rescue cream, and Daily Skin Body Moisturiser.
To enter, you have to be a follower of this blog, and leave a comment with your GFC username/whatever you use to follow, and share your best wintertime skincare tip! One tip will be chosen to win the prize Of course, you can boost your chances of winning!
Here's an example health tip, brought to you by leading health store Holland & Barrett. (Your tip does not have to be releated to any brands/products, however, I just want to hear what works for you!)
As the temperatures change, so should your beauty routine. The cold air can make skin incredibly dry and the best way to fight this is to incorporate moisture into your beauty regime as much as possible. Switch your usual shower gel to one that contains moisturising ingredients, such as Manuka Honey. Native to New Zealand, this natural supplement has a hydrating effect, helping to soothe and heal dry, damaged skin. If your hands and feet have become particularly dry, lather on a rich moisturiser, then slip on socks or gloves to lock in the effects.
This giveaway is open worldwide and ends on 15th December, so good luck!

My best wintertime skin tip: drink lots of water.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to use hand lotion several times a day to avoid dry, flaky hands. Going from freezing weather to warm heated homes and workplaces can play havoc with your skin.

Hello :) I also believe that moisturizing your skin os the most important, mostly from inside your body by drinking a lot of water. But we shouldn't forget about using some oily products to protect our skin from cold weather..

ReplyDeletetip: Eventhough it is winter, the sun's rays can still reach our skin. Snow glare and winter sun can cause damage to our skin. One should wear a moisturizing sunscreen.
The cream of my heart is the Omnia Botanica for sensitive skin. These days I'm mixing with a drop of Argan oil :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!

Drink more water
I was recommended this set for acne skin a while ago. It didn't help my acne or soothe my skin, it made it a bit worse (but be the shea butter in some products), but boy, it smells great.
ReplyDeleteI always use a scrub in order to remove all the dead skin. I made it with lemon juice and brown sugar, the best for my oily (but dry in certain parts) skin!
ReplyDeleteMy winter skincare tip is to use sunscreen, even in the winter.

My tip is to wash my hands with a moisturizing lathering scrub (instead of soap), always followed by a good moisturizing lotion. (This tip has saved my formerly cracked and bleeding knuckles!)

I use exfoliating gloves with bar soap in the shower to get rid of dead skin and then apply lotion afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI make a skin scrub of sugar, oil (whatever I have on hand!) and honey and use it in the bath - the combo of the 3 makes my dry sensitive skin so soft and soothed. I also like to pat extra moisturizer on my cheeks to ward off windburn if I'll be outside a lot!

My skin care tip for winter is:
ReplyDeleteexfoliate with a gentle scrub every 3 days/week and then, important, moisturize daily because the cool temperature is not a great friend of our skin! :)
It's important, then, to protect the skin against UVrays!
