Just so you aren't confused, the "regular" line of Precious Mineral Any Cushion is just called "Precious Mineral Any Cushion", and is the original BB cushion launched by Etude House. To this range, Etude House added the Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion in 2014 (the "Magic" word denoting the line), and these were basically colour-correcting primers/bases in BB cushion form, which I had swatched and reviewed before. And in 2015, Etude House added the Precious Mineral Pearl Aura Any Cushion, where the "Pearl Aura" is supposed to denote a nice, dewy "pearl-like" finish, reviewed before too. So as you can see, although the products are different, they do have similar names, and if you're new to the brand, it can get a tad confusing!
Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion: The 3 shades in the Moist Any Cushion line
Given that Etude House already has a "Pearl Aura" BB cushion to help give skin a dewy finish, I was curious as to why they launched a "Moist" BB cushion. Wouldn't it be a bit of a duplication? So, the other day when I was in store, I got some swatches of the Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion, and although it's a little overdue, I guess it's better late than never to share these swatches!
Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion Swatches
There are 3 shades of Moist Any Cushion available here, and they're all swatched below. As with most Korean brands, the shades do run a bit light. These do have a nice lightweight finish, just like the rest of their BB cushions.
N02 Light Beige is a pink-based beige that when applied, is actually pretty sheer. Surprisingly, I feel like this is probably my closest match, perhaps, for my just-under-NC20 skin, although I thought W13 was going to be the right shade for me initially. Perhaps the sheerness of the product just blends into my skin. I feel like for most skintones, it would be a pretty good highlighter or brightening primer.
W13 Natural Beige is a light yellow beige, that looks a slight bit darker than my close-to-NC20 skin. I imagine this would fit most skintones NC20 or NC25, but probably no darker than that! When blended out into my skin, it's a decent enough match, although you can see some slight colour demarcation.
W24 Honey Beige is the darkest shade in the range, and maybe this is NC30 or so, but I doubt is darker than NC30 (I'm admittedly not that great at guesstimating MAC shades). It's unfortunately not super dark, so this is perhaps more of a medium tan shade.
Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion vs the Pearl Aura Any Cushion
I decided to also compare the finish between the Moist Any cushion and the Pearl Aura Any Cushion, for those who are curious about the differences between the two. To this end, I compared Moist Any Cushion in N02 with the Pearl Aura Any Cushion shade in #3, as these were pretty similar, although not identical. Hopefully, this is good enough for us to see the differences in the finish!
From the swatches above, you can see that although both have a pearly finish, the Moist Any Cushion has more sparkles that make your skin look "wet", versus the Pearl Aura Any Cushion one that just makes you look glowy. The Moist Any Cushion also has more obvious shimmer, so if you want something more subtle, then you might prefer the Pearl Aura version. But, if you can't get enough of the glowy look, and want as dewy a finish as possible, then you might like the Moist Any Cushion much better.
The Etude House Moist Any Cushion is available for SGD$32.
