Givenchy Rouge Liquide Swatches and First Impressions

Givenchy's Rouge Liquide has just hit Singapore, and this is clearly a pretty big launch here, and is very on-trend with the popularity of liquid lipsticks. All 14 shades are being launched here (yes!!), and the selling point of the lipsticks is that the packing is pretty unique - it looks like an ordinary lipstick when you open it, but what you are seeing is just the flocked applicator. To apply the lipstick, you twist the base, and the liquid lipstick will move up through the hole in the applicator.

Givenchy Rouge Liquide - liquid lipsticks with a flocked applicator

Cool, right? Above is the lipsticks when the case has been opened (you can see the flocked applicator and the hole through which the liquid lipstick is pushed up). The applicators all have the same shade of red, so you can't tell what shade the Rouge Liquide is without looking at the base to see the shade name. Just a note of caution though - the applicators can be a bit tricky to use initially. As with most "twist up to push the product out" products, you do run the risk of the twist mechanism going "click-click-click-click - no product - click-click-click-click - no product - click-click-click-click - a whole globule of product emerges that's way too much for one application". So, twist and wait the first time you're using it! You only need a little bit to cover the lips, because the product is pretty dense and pigmented. This isn't an issue after the first time you use the Rouge Liquide however.

Alright, enough gushing about the packaging, let's get to the meat of the post - swatches!

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl Lipstick Swatches and First Impressions

Givenchy's Rouge Interdit Vinyl Colour Enhancing Lipstick was just recently launched in Singapore, and of course, I had to get swatches of as many of the shades as I could for you! The Rouge Interdit Vinyl is supposed to be a lipstick with high shine, medium colour, and also moisturizing to the lips, with black rose oil. There are 16 shades in all, from nudes to reds to brights to vampy shades, so there is something for everyone here.

Anyway, I have to say, I'm super proud of myself for producing these swatches in less-than-optimal lighting. You see the photo above? Yup, that's basically the lighting conditions I had. But, I think the swatches did turn out pretty nicely given the lighting conditions, and I managed to get most of the shades, so without further ado, let's start on the swatches, together with my commentary on them!

Givenchy Teint Couture Balm Review, Swatches Ingredients Analysis and FOTD

Givenchy Teint Couture Balm (aka Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm) SPF15 is the latest base product for skin to come from Givenchy. Givenchy has some really gorgeous face makeup - their Prisme Libre loose powders, as well as their little squares of pressed finishing/brightening powders are some of my favourites (and I recently hauled yet more of their stuff, as this IG photo shows), and make up some of the brands best known products. So I had high expectations for the Teint Couture Balm.

Givenchy Teint Couture Balm SPF15: The latest lightweight foundation/BB cream-type product from Givenchy

The Teint Couture Balm is advertised as being a "an invisible, ultralightweight, skin-fusion foundation for a flawless, bare-skin effect, and it's a lighter foundation/base product addition to Givenchy's range. I'm pretty late to the party - these were launched a couple of months ago, but I'm only reviewing them now, but on the bright side, a thorough review is always good, right? And I'm glad to say, the Teint Couture Balm performs very nicely!

And by thorough, I do mean thorough - I've got swatches, ingredients analysis, and a photo of the Teint Couture Balm on my face! Of course, we'll start with my favourite part - the ingredients analysis of the product.

Givenchy Le Rouge A Porter Swatches and Quick Impressions

Givenchy's Le Rouge A Porter Lipstick range has just launched in Singapore earlier this week, and of course I had to swatch them for you! These are a different range from Givenchy's current Le Rouge lipsticks, although Le Rouge A Porter is also clad in ultra-luxe leather. The main differences between Le Rouge and Le Rouge A Porter is that Le Rouge is more pigmented, has a more matte finish, and the tube itself is shorter and chubbier. Le Rouge A Porter, on the other hand, has sheer pigmentation (although you can build it up somewhat), has a shiny, glossy finish, and the tube is very slim and sleek.

Givenchy Le Rouge A Porter: 16 shades of the new lipstick range

The Le Rouge A Porter lipsticks are supposed to also be moisturizing and hydrating to lips - at the event the lipstick was described to me as being a cross between a lipstick and a lipbalm. I was also told that you don't need any lip primer with this product, as it doesn't sink into fine lines or seep out of lip lines. There are 16 shades of Le Rouge A Porter.

Givenchy Le Rouge A Porter: The actual lipstick bullet, encased in genuine leather

If you're wondering, the testers at the display sets are somewhat different from the actual lipstick tube. For one, the actual lipstick itself is encased in leather, with silver metal trim. The testers are encased in plastic (made to look texturized like leather) and have red plastic trim. For those curious, above is a shot of an actual lipstick.

Anyway, enough with the preamble. Without further ado, here are the swatches!
