Etude House Color Lips Fit PP501 Brave Fit Berry: My Perfect Fall Colour

Thursday, November 13, 2014

Fall is the perfect time for deep berry lips, and I think I've found my perfect one - the Etude House Color Lips Fit in PP501 Brave Fit Berry! This is a new addition to the Etude House Color Lips Fit range of liptints, which I've reviewed previously. At Etude House's flagship store at Wisma Atria, I noticed this pretty shade and just had to have it, and so I bought it!

Etude House Color Lips Fit PP501 Brave Fit Berry: Couldn't resist the gorgeous berry colour!

Apparently PP501 Brave Fit Berry is a new addition to the Color Lips Fit line of lip tints - this shade was not available when the Color Lips Fit liptints first came to Singapore. When it was first launched in Singapore, the shades were mostly bright reds, bright pinks, or nude beiges. They didn't have any plum or magenta shades, so I was excited to see such a gorgeous shade. And on top of that, it had this little sign next to it that said "NEW", so I decided I would get it!

And since I've gotten it, I've been wearing it pretty often, since it's so perfect for Fall season. So I figured I should get around to reviewing it for you guys!

Etude House Disney Princess Happy Ending FOTD: Purple Lipstick, Here I Come!

In my previous post swatching the Etude House Disney Princess Happy Ending collection's makeup items, I mentioned that I wanted to do an FOTD (face of the day) post with some of the items from the Disney Princess collection. Well, I did! And it turned out to be my first-ever time wearing purple lipstick, too!

For this look, I used the following products below. I used the Snow White Precious Mineral BB Cream in shade No. 2 (the lighter of the two shades), the Belle Rose Cheek Blusher in #1 Pink Rose Shine, the Cinderella Fairy Glitter Shadow in #3 Evening Party, and the Belle Purple Rose Lips Lipstick. I've neatly assembled all the products below, so you can take a look at them! Because the collection didn't have an eyeliner, but I wanted to wear one, I ended up wearing my Etude House Play 101 Pencil in #50 (swatched and reviewed, and also FOTD'ed before, too), which is a deep neutral brown. I also used my Shu Uemura Hard Formula (previously called H9) Brow Pencil in Stone Gray (which I've been using even before I started blogging, but I've never reviewed - I'll need to do that sometime!).

Etude House Disney Princess Happy Ending products I used for my FOTD: BB Cream, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick.

I figured I couldn't go wrong with these products. Sure, the purple lipstick might look a little unconventional to some (although on me it's a bit more like a purply-berry shade, as seen in the previous swatch post), but I figured that it's hard to go wrong with a good colour of BB cream, a neutral deep brown eyeshadow (with glitter and sparkles, too!), and a pink blush, right? Turns out, this look was actually quite pretty, if I do say so myself!

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush Review and Swatches

Benefit's Majorette Booster Blush, its first-ever cream blush offering, has been making waves online, as people have been raving about it. And if you've seen this Instagram post of mine, as well as this post, you'll know that I've been testing it out and have been meaning to write a review on it for awhile! Now that it's finally Friday and I can settle into the weekend, here's the review!

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush: A cream-to-powder blush

The Majorette Booster Blush is billed as a "cream-to-powder" blush that can be worn either by itself as a blush, or under a powder blush of your own choice. Benefit also describes it as having a peach-pink colour, but the colour appeared more like a nice wearable coral to my eye.

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush: With majorette-inspired packaging!

Like almost all the Benefit Cosmetics products I've come across, Majorette is just full of quirky girly cuteness, packaging-wise. From the marching, baton-twirling inspired name to the little drum-like packaging, it's cute from the moment you open it.

Etude House Color Pop Lip Tint Review and Swatches: #08 Berry Pop, My Favourite Lip Tint

If you follow me on Instagram, then you'd know that the Etude House Color Pop Lip Tint in #08 Berry Pop would be one of my most favourite lip products ever! Yes, this is the one lip product that has popped up on my Instagram ever since I bought it in March. That's 5 months ago, so yes, it's been popping up in various Instagram posts, like this, this, this, this, this, and I liked it so much I went back to get two more! So I figured, it's about time for a proper review/swatch post of this on my blog!

Etude House Color Pop Lip Tint in #08 Berry Pop: My current favourite liptint!

The Etude House Color Pop Lip Tint has a few different shades (8, I think, although when I was in Korea there were additional shades in mini-sizes too), and the one I have is #08 Berry Pop. It's in a compact little plastic bottle, with a tulip-shaped doe-foot applicator.

Etude House Play 101 Pencils FOTD: Makeup Look with the Pencils on Eyes, Cheeks, Lips

In my Etude House Play 101 Pencils review, I shared swatches of the these nifty little multi-tasking pencils on my arms and lips, but wasn't able to fully swatch them on other places, like eyes and cheeks. And also on my Instagram page, I've received some questions about how the pencils blended out on drier skin patches like cheeks. So, I decided the only way to resolve this question was to actually do an FOTD (Face of the Day) with the Etude House Play 101 Pencils!

For this look, I used almost every shade of pencil in my arsenal - 15, 26, 28, and 50 (swatches re-posted below . The only one I didn't use was 20, because it was hot pink, and I wasn't sure how to incorporate it yet. But I'm sure that will come another day!
