Illamasqua Eye Colouring Pencils Swatches

Illamasqua's Eye Colouring Pencils aren't one of their more famous products (the ones that seem to get the most attention are their blushes, lipglosses, lipsticks, and eyeshadows), but when I was at the Illamasqua store opening at Takayashimaya, I thought it would be good of me to do some quick and easy swatches of the Eye Colouring Pencils, because swatches are always good, right?

Illamasqua calls these "creamy", and I agree. These are creamy and pigmented, and really useful for eyeliner, or even eyeshadow if you are able to handle colouring your eyelid with a pencil. Illamasua describes these as "long-lasting", and I'd have to disagree with that - I'm not sure if it was my arm chemistry not hitting it off with these eye pencils, but I found that they didn't seem to "set", and thus seemed prone to smudging/rubbing. These are also mostly matte in finish - no glitter or shimmer to be found.

Clio Eyeliners Review: Waterproof Brush, Pen, Pencil Eyeliner, and Swatches

Clio is a Korean brand that is pretty popular for its hip, trendsetting image and colours, as well as fantastic line of products, and has been steadily getting accolades for the quality of its products. One of the things Clio is more well-known for are its eyeliners, which get lots of raves for being really waterproof and long-wearing, so I thought it would be great for me to put these to the test! And the best part - I actually have three different types of eyeliners for you today, the Waterproof Pencil Liner, the Waterproof Pen Eyeliner, and the newest addition to the lineup, the Waterproof Brush Liner!

The eyeliners mainly differ in terms of their tip used to dispense the eyeliner - the Waterproof Pen Eyeliner has a marker-like tip, the Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner is an old-fashioned pencil eyeliner with a twist-up tip, and the Waterproof Brush Eyeliner has fine brush bristles that are pointed at the end. As you'll see, each of them have a different feel and have slightly different effect when lining your eyes.

Without further ado, let's move on to examine the eyeliners up close, and perform my usual tests on them to find out whether they are really waterproof and smudge-proof or not!

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner Review and Swatches: Really Worth the Hype?

Benefit's latest eyeliner, the They're Real! Push Up Liner, has finally launched, and you can bet the hype about this "lash-hugging gel liner pen" (Benefit's words) has been nothing short of craazy. The hype for the They're Real Eyeliner is probably one of the most I've seen for a recently launched Benefit product. Everyone is talking about it and raving about it, and I just had to check out the hype!

I happened to be travelling to Turkey (you would have seen some of my travel photos on Instagram) while the hype was building up, and when I came back to Singapore, the next thing you know, everyone and their mothers were talking about it! And, the They're Real Eyeliner just launched yesterday, so I thought since I had the product on hand, I should do a review too, and see if it's really worth the hype.

The hype generated comes from lots of things - from the unique "Accuflex" tip that the pen nib has, to the claims that it is waterproof, smudgeproof, and long wearing. The unique shape of the They're Real! Eyeliner pen is supposed to allow us girls who have trouble lining their eyes to finally line our peepers like a pro. Well, a claim like this is best tested against the hardest-to-line type of eyes, and yours truly, with my small, flat, contour-less eyes, and what I like to call a hooded lashline (that Asian fold of skin that hangs over your lashes and makes your eyeliner "disappear" once you open your eyes - you girls will know what I mean!), thought that there would be no better guinea pig than me.

So I couldn't wait to try this out, and see if it indeed lived up to the hype of making my eyes prettier more easily and quickly!

Star Lash Perfect Touch Eyeliner Pen Review and Swatches

Star Lash, a brand owned by local company BeautyDirect, has launched their first pen eyeliner! You may know Star Lash for their range of false lashes (if you visit their website, you'll see that they do have a lot, like over 50 designs!), so this is one of their comparatively fewer non-lash products. As such, I was pretty excited to try this out and see how it was! The shade that I got was Rich Black Waterproof.
