Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner Review and Swatches: Really Worth the Hype?

Benefit's latest eyeliner, the They're Real! Push Up Liner, has finally launched, and you can bet the hype about this "lash-hugging gel liner pen" (Benefit's words) has been nothing short of craazy. The hype for the They're Real Eyeliner is probably one of the most I've seen for a recently launched Benefit product. Everyone is talking about it and raving about it, and I just had to check out the hype!

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner: Definitely Benefit's most hyped product to date!

I happened to be travelling to Turkey (you would have seen some of my travel photos on Instagram) while the hype was building up, and when I came back to Singapore, the next thing you know, everyone and their mothers were talking about it! And, the They're Real Eyeliner just launched yesterday, so I thought since I had the product on hand, I should do a review too, and see if it's really worth the hype.

Benefit Theyre Real Push Up Liner 1
Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner: Claims to help you get gorgeously-lined eyes in a jiffy.

The hype generated comes from lots of things - from the unique "Accuflex" tip that the pen nib has, to the claims that it is waterproof, smudgeproof, and long wearing. The unique shape of the They're Real! Eyeliner pen is supposed to allow us girls who have trouble lining their eyes to finally line our peepers like a pro. Well, a claim like this is best tested against the hardest-to-line type of eyes, and yours truly, with my small, flat, contour-less eyes, and what I like to call a hooded lashline (that Asian fold of skin that hangs over your lashes and makes your eyeliner "disappear" once you open your eyes - you girls will know what I mean!), thought that there would be no better guinea pig than me.

The crux of one of the claims of Benefit's They're Real Push Up Liner: the Accuflex tip.

So I couldn't wait to try this out, and see if it indeed lived up to the hype of making my eyes prettier more easily and quickly!

Loveybelle Brushes Review: Eclipse Brush Set

LoveyBelle is a Singaporean brand of makeup brushes, and since I've been away from my blog while I was travelling and just generally busy at work, I figure, I'd better get around to reviewing this huge set of brushes, and clearing my "to review" pile a little! These are all part of the Eclipse Brush set, except the odd brush with the wooden handle rather than the black ones - that's also a LoveyBelle brush but not part of the set. It just made its way into the photos. Oops!

Loveybelle Eclipse Brush Set: 12 brushes to cover all your brush needs!

So all that (sans one brush) is part of a single set. You get a whole bunch of brushes (and Loveybelle is kind enough to list out each brush as well as bristle type) for all your brush needs. Seriously. There are face brushes, eye brushes, lip brushes, lining brushes, buffing and blending brushes...I think Loveybelle has pretty much covered it all. The set has 6 eye brushes and 6 face ones. Let's take a further look!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, Cleanser, Toner Review and Ingredients Analysis

Kiehl's Ultra Facial range has launched a range of summer-friendly skincare products for oily skin. There's the Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream (essentially a moisturizer but in a gel form), the Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner, and Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser. With a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer, Kiehl's obviously has all 3 basic skincare steps down.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, Cleanser, Toner: Just in time for summer

This is going to be a fairly long review, because you know how I get all long-winded with ingredients and stuff, and furthermore, there are three separate products to review! So, without further ado, let's hop straight into the meat of the review - we certainly wouldn't want to waste any time on more preambles now!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + Anti-Blemish Cream Review and Ingredients Analysis

La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo + is a new addition to their line of anti-blemish creams and products, and as with other La Roche Posay products, I was keen to try this out! You know I'm quite partial to European skincare brands, so I was all excited to see what this was about!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +: The latest addition to the the brand's anti-blemish range.

This is advertised as an improvement over the original Effaclar Duo, as it contains "a patented ceramide" (marketed as Procerad' in the ad copies), in addition to the original active ingredients of the original Effaclar Duo. La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo has gotten some pretty rave reviews online, so I couldn't wait to try it out for myself! And the first place I started off was with the ingredients list, because you know that's exactly how I roll.
